Sanne Hoeks is a postdoc researcher within the Departments of Anesthesiology and Vascular Surgery at Erasmus Medical Center Rotterdam. She obtained her MSc degree in Biology in 2004 at the University of Utrecht. Next, she worked as a research statistician at the Department of Clinical Epidemiology of the Thoraxcenter, Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam. She completed her MSc in Epidemiology at the Netherlands Institute for Health Sciences (NIHES) of the Erasmus University in 2007. In the beginning of 2010, she finished her PhD.-project entitled “Perioperative Cardiac Care: from guidelines to clinical practice” at the Erasmus Medical Center under supervision of prof.dr. Don Poldermans. Her main research interest is evaluating quality of care in surgical patients. She authored over 75 international publications and several book chapters.
